If the player gets too carried away with mining, they might attract unwanted attention to their fleet.

At the end of May, Starminer was released on PC on Steam. Initially, it was assumed that the game would be published by Paradox Arc (a Paradox Interactive label), but this idea was later abandoned, and now the CoolAndGoodGames studio is releasing the game on its own.

The developers will offer players in Starminer to design and build an interstellar fleet to mine minerals in space, sell them, and make a profit:

Pay attention to material requirements, power, tonnage, and size. Make your fleet as efficient as possible! Will you build many small, maneuverable ships or bet on a huge station with incredible firepower? Develop new modules and tools, expand your fleet, and build more advanced stations. Build gates to access the riches of new sectors of space.

The process of mineral extraction in the world of Starminer is fraught with risk. The developers warned that the more resources a player extracts, the more they build, and the greedier they become, the higher their thermal signature rises. If it reaches a critical level, aliens will notice the player – in which case defense systems will come in handy.

The Starminer page on Steam is available at the following link.
