Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember Announced - A Sequel to the Soulslike Action-RPG
KOEI TECMO will soon return with a new game.
Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember was unveiled at the "XBOX Games Showcase 2026". The original soulslike action-RPG from Team Ninja and KOEI TECMO GAMES was released in 2023, and its launch version was remembered by some players for its extremely hardcore initial boss.
The developers showed several frames: the hero will face battles with large enemies.
Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember does not yet have a specific release date, but the release window is known – early 2027.
The original Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty received "mixed" reviews on Steam, with a rating of 49%:
This is a thrilling story about an unnamed militiaman trying to survive in a dark fantasy version of China during the Late Han period, where the Three Kingdoms are haunted by demons. Players will have to fight terrifying creatures and enemy soldiers, learn Chinese martial arts, and try to find strength within themselves.
Team Ninja and KOEI TECMO GAMES created several premium add-ons for the action-RPG – "Battle of Zhongyuan", "Conquest of Jiangdong", and "Jingxiang Coup", which added new equipment, story content, weapons, and more to the game.
