State of Decay 3 Gameplay Revealed - Release Window Announced

The new installment of the franchise is gradually moving towards launch.

At "XBOX Games Showcase 2026", State of Decay 3 was brought up. Undead Labs studio showed gameplay of the project, which was announced more than five years ago.

This is a new installment in the zombie action franchise about survival in a post-apocalyptic world. Events unfold several years after the start of the epidemic, and players will have to establish life in a world gripped by this bloody plague.

State of Decay 3 is planned to be gradually developed, adding "new features and challenges". Developers will offer players to collect resources, fight zombies, build settlements, and unite them into one community. The developers clarified that the death of members of the player's settlement is irreversible, so all risks must be weighed.

The game does not yet have a specific release date, but a release window has been indicated – the game is planned to be released on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S consoles, including Game Pass. Up to four people will be able to participate in the multiplayer online mode.
