Almost ten years have passed since the release of the original Persona 5.

Atlus and SEGA fully announced the new game Persona 6 at the “XBOX Games Showcase 2026” presentation. For now, the developers have limited themselves to a small teaser of the project.

The debut trailer so far confirms long-standing rumors and insights — Persona 6 uses a “green” aesthetic. Regarding the leaked art, it is not yet clear: the trailer only showed a cemetery and some silhouette.

The developers have not yet announced when they plan to release Persona 6.

Currently, Atlus is working not only on a full-fledged new installment of the franchise but also on a remake of Persona 4 Revival — the developers recently showed several frames of the project.

The previous numbered installment of the Persona 5 franchise was released in 2016 in Japan and 2017 in the rest of the world. Subsequently, the musou-action game Persona 5 Strikers was released, as well as the expanded version Persona 5 Royal:

The main character is a high school student who was forced to move to Tokyo and transfer to one of the city's schools. Soon after, he has a strange dream: a mysterious voice calls him a prisoner of fate and informs him that a catastrophe awaits the young man in the near future. Now, to complete a certain “rehabilitation” course, he must save people from their own wicked desires, donning the mask of a Phantom Thief.
