Vivarium Trailer Revealed - A Life Simulator with Classic Anime-Style Graphics
Developers will invite players to uncover the secrets of a small town.
Studio Meadowflower and Serenity Forge participated in the "XBOX Games Showcase 2026" presentation and unveiled the Vivarium trailer. The project is positioned as an adventure life simulator.
The developers note that they adorned the game with "hand-drawn illustrations inspired by timeless classic anime films."
Players in Vivarium take on the role of an 11-year-old terrarium inhabitant named Jenny:
Beneath the nostalgic atmosphere of this close-knit town lies a truth. Explore the "perfect" pocket world to uncover its secrets and advance through a non-linear narrative shaped by your decisions.
Studio Meadowflower notes that days in Vivarium are synchronized with the players' real-world calendar. The idea is that this will allow them to make new discoveries daily, unraveling the game's mysterious story.
You can add Vivarium to your Steam wishlist via this link. The game is planned for release not only on PC but also on Xbox Series X|S consoles. The exact release date has not yet been announced, but the release window is known – 2027.
