Ex-Game Director of The Witcher 3 Appeals to CDPR Regarding Songs of the Past Expansion
The developer would like his former colleagues to do a good job.
CD Projekt RED recently announced a new expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. It will be called Songs of the Past and developers are creating it in collaboration with specialists from Fool's Theory.
Former game director of The Witcher 3, Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, recently spoke with a GamesRadar+ journalist during the recent Summer Game Fest event. The developer now heads the Rebel Wolves studio and is preparing The Blood of Dawnwalker, but he hasn't forgotten about his old project.
He said he never played The Witcher as a "regular player":
I never played The Witcher series games as a regular player, because when you work on the first, second, third parts and both expansions, you don't experience the same feelings as ordinary fans. I was a developer who constantly played The Witcher.
Konrad admitted that he wouldn't be able to play The Witcher 3 from the beginning now, as he "has seen it all too many times." However, he plans to get acquainted with the upcoming Songs of the Past expansion.
I hope this expansion will be good. I will play it for the first time as a regular player. And I only have one request... how to put it politely... — make it good.
The release of the Songs of the Past expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is scheduled for 2027.
