CDPR said nothing to The Witcher 3's Geralt voice actor about the Songs of the Past expansion
The developers of The Witcher 3 have not yet recorded voice acting for the new content.
In May, CD Projekt RED announced a new expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, titled Songs of the Past. For many, this came as a surprise, including the voice of Geralt of Rivia.
The English voice actor for the hero, Doug Cockle, recently spoke with Polygon and said that he had certain suspicions that the Polish developers were preparing something new:
There was a sense in the air that CDPR might be up to something, but I had no idea what. I thought it might be something like another Thronebreaker.
Doug Cockle cannot share any insider information about Songs of the Past. It's not even about the NDA (non-disclosure agreement) that actors usually sign when working – CD Projekt RED told him nothing and has not yet invited him to work:
I know as much [about the expansion] as you do – from CDPR's press releases. I don't know anything beyond that. I'm curious to find out myself.
The release of the Songs of the Past expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is scheduled for 2027.
