Guaranteed Hit: "Spider-Man: A New Day" Sets Five-Year Pre-Sale Record
"Spider-Man: A New Day" has not yet been released, but it has already achieved its first major accomplishment. According to Deadline, ticket sales started better than they have in the last five years. The last time such excitement was observed was before the premiere of "Spider-Man: No Way Home" in 2021. At that time, the film starring Tom Holland grossed about $78 million in pre-sales alone, and later showed the third largest opening in the history of global box office, second only to "Avengers: Endgame" and "Avengers: Infinity War".

Although the exact pre-sale figures for "Spider-Man: A New Day" have not been disclosed, analysts are already calling the film the main contender for the best start of the year. According to their forecasts, the film will easily surpass the $200 million mark in its debut weekend in the US, will be able to beat the performance of recent hits like "Toy Story 5", and approach the result of "Deadpool & Wolverine" ($211.4 million).
"Spider-Man: A New Day" will premiere on July 31, 2026.
