Gamers found a way to "freely" buy GTA VI - thanks to a Microsoft promotion
In late June, Rockstar Games opened pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI. The standard edition costs $80, while the premium Ultimate edition is priced at $100 (around 7,700 rubles).
However, for some enterprising gamers, purchasing Grand Theft Auto VI essentially cost nothing. This was made possible by Microsoft Rewards. One participant in the loyalty program shared that he had already accumulated 100,000 points – which can be exchanged for a $100 Xbox gift card.
According to comments, some other players also used a similar strategy and accumulated enough points in Microsoft Rewards to get a card and make a "free" pre-order for GTA VI.
Points in the Microsoft Store can be earned in several ways, for example, through other purchases in the Microsoft Store and on Xbox consoles, completing tasks, searching on Bing, and participating in promotions.
Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to be released in November of this year on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. The developers have not yet announced the release date for the PC version of the game.
Digital Foundry experts doubt that current consoles will be able to provide 60 frames per second in the game, but they admit that players might get something between 30 and 60 FPS.
