Valheim will become more expensive - developers warned players before the full release

The developers do not yet know if they will add content after the release of version 1.0.

The survival game Valheim was launched in Steam Early Access in 2021. In a few months, the developers intend to release the full version of the game.

Iron Gate studio published answers to frequently asked questions and warned players that Valheim will become more expensive after the release of version 1.0 – the game will cost 30 dollars (regional prices have not yet been announced). The developers explained the price change by the fact that the game will become “complete.”

However, the release of Valheim 1.0 does not mean a complete cessation of development. The game's creators plan to continue improving their project, fixing bugs and adding various “quality of life improvements.” At the moment, they do not know if they will add even more content to the game:

However, it is too early to say how long the game will receive updates. Similarly, it is too early to say whether new content will be added in the future – but, as always, we will definitely announce all news on our channels!

You can add Valheim to your Steam wishlist via the following link. The full version of the game is scheduled for release on September 9, 2026. With the release of update 1.0, a new biome and other content will be added to the game.
