Rockstar hinted at a key GTA VI feature in job postings

It seems Rockstar Games is developing a Creator Platform system for GTA VI, which could bring custom server creation tools, private lobbies, and role-playing modes, familiar to PC players, to consoles.

Rockstar Games, while preparing for the release of GTA VI, may have accidentally revealed one of the game's most anticipated features. New job openings at the studio point to this.

The descriptions mention the development of a Creator Platform — a system that could significantly expand the social aspect of Grand Theft Auto.

Similar solutions have long been familiar to PC players. GTA RP communities, private servers, custom rules, role-playing modes, and fan-made scenarios are actively developing there. On consoles, the appearance of such features would be a significant step forward.

Rockstar has already shown interest in this direction. The company acquired the creators of FiveM and RedM — popular platforms for custom servers in GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2. Later, the Cfx Marketplace was launched with digital content and add-ons. Now it is assumed that these developments will be used in GTA VI.

According to the job postings, the Creator Platform could include tools for creating and hosting custom worlds, private and public lobbies, as well as access to an in-game marketplace.

For Rockstar, this could also become a new business model with monetization of user-generated content. Players will be able to create their own modes and events, and the company will be able to generate revenue from their distribution.
