Netflix Premieres One Piece HEROINES - A New Special Episode About Nami and Nico Robin

Netflix has premiered the special episode One Piece HEROINES, dedicated to the female characters of Eiichiro Oda's manga. The first 24-minute special episode, subtitled Episode: Nami, focuses on the adventures of Nami and Nico Robin. During a fashion show, the heroines find themselves embroiled in an unusual scam, forcing them to undertake a daring heist to restore justice.

The special episode is based on the One Piece: Heroines light novel series by writer Jun Esaki. It consists of standalone stories depicting the heroines in unusual situations: from Nico Robin's archaeological research to Perona's struggle for the last bottle of wine.

The project was produced by Toei Animation. Haruka Kamatani ("Looking for Magical Doremi"), who previously worked on individual episodes of the original One Piece, directed the special. Takashi Kojima ("Monsters: 103 Mercies Dragon Damnation") handled character design and animation, Momoka Toyoda ("My Happy Marriage") adapted the script, and Japanese singer AiNA THE END performed the theme song "Blue Shining Star."
