Hacker Breaches PlayStation Players in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Denying Them Multiplayer Access

The attacker began traveling through lobbies and targeting player accounts.

This summer, the classic shooters Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 were successfully released on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, where they became big hits. However, the projects attracted the attention of not only ordinary players but also hackers.

It seems that the developers never fixed a vulnerability that was discovered many years ago. Complaints about a hacker began to emerge from the Call of Duty community. The attacker infiltrates game lobbies in CoD: Black Ops 2 and starts compromising player accounts.

The hacker is known by the nickname "C Isn't Sharp?" and has already sent "greetings" to some popular streamers. For example, TimTheTatMan was targeted: reportedly, his account was leveled up to level 55 and prestige 16 (although such a prestige level doesn't even exist in the game itself).

For some Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 players, encountering the hacker didn't end with free express account leveling, but with major problems — the attacker's actions ultimately deprived them of the ability to participate in online matches, with the game constantly crashing. There are also cases of profile progress resets.

There is no solution yet, so players recommend tracking the nickname "C Isn't Sharp?" and immediately exiting the game if the hacker appears in the lobby.
