American Truck Simulator Developers Showcased Tuning and Car Purchase Process

You will be able to install some parts and decorate the interior.

The developers of the truck driver simulator American Truck Simulator have published a new diary dedicated to the development of the Road Trip mode. Players will be able to explore the game world in regular cars.

SCS Software studio published a selection of screenshots: they showed the game interface, the car purchase process, and vehicle tuning.

The car purchase process in Road Trip will be slightly different from how it works with trucks. First, you will need to go to the Car Dealer tab through the menu, then select the desired car brand and open the list of available offers. You will be able to study car characteristics as in a catalog or switch to a “table view” to simplify model comparison.

After purchasing a car, players can either send it to a new garage — where they can customize the car, for example, paint it and install other parts.

The developers have not yet announced the release date for the Road Trip mode with regular cars for American Truck Simulator. You can add the Ford Car Pack and RAM & Dodge Car Pack to your Steam wishlist via the following link and here.

Recently, the developers showed gameplay of a new mode for Euro Truck Simulator 2 — players will be able to buy a bus, transport passengers, or simply travel the world.
