Futuristic Thriller with Positive Player Reviews Given Away on PC
Players can add the game State of Mind to their GOG library.
In September, Daedalic Entertainment studio announced the start of a new promotion. The developers offered GOG users to get acquainted with their State of Mind.
The authors position their game as a "futuristic thriller in the spirit of transhumanism." The developers said that in State of Mind they explore themes such as division, separation, and "reunions in a world torn between a dark material reality and a utopian virtual future."
According to the plot, the events of State of Mind unfold in Berlin in 2048. In the game world, diseases are spreading, there is a shortage of resources and environmental problems, high crime, and many other issues.
The story centers on journalist Richard Nolan, who is not afraid to criticize the existing system:
Waking up in a hospital after an explosion and discovering the mysterious disappearance of his wife and son, Richard realizes that he and his family have become more than just accidental observers of the confrontation of ideas about saving humanity on the border between dark reality and digital utopia. They found themselves at the very center of this hurricane.
