After the release of The Witcher 3 remaster, developers will allow players to return to the regular version of the game

They do not plan to take away the current version from players.

The release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt remaster is approaching, which will introduce various graphics and gameplay improvements to the game. However, some players are concerned that their systems may not be able to handle the updated version of the game.

In the case of the PC version (Steam / GOG), potential problems can be easily resolved. CD Projekt RED will allow players to revert to the old version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. However, it is not yet entirely clear how this will be implemented — whether as a separate game version, or if players will be able to access the old build through "beta versions" in the game's properties.

The release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt remaster is expected on September 29 this year, and a story expansion, Songs of the Past, is planned for the game next year.

Developers plan to release a full new installment of The Witcher 4 franchise in 2028. The project does not yet have a more precise release date.

Earlier, CD Projekt RED confirmed that players will be able to continue their adventure in the remaster using old saves.
