The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom to be released on PC in 2 weeks - modder not afraid of Nintendo lawyers

The first tests of the unofficial PC port are encouraging.

Nintendo has not released The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on PC, but not all players want to buy Nintendo Switch consoles or use emulators. It seems that PC gamers will soon have the opportunity to run the Nintendo exclusive as a native application on their computer.

Recently, tech enthusiast NotRexed shared screenshots of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom gameplay on PC on social media. According to him, he "recompiled the game for PC".

Judging by the counter in the presented screenshots, the game on PC can currently run at a frame rate of 32 – 59 FPS. This result was achieved on a build with a GeForce RTX 4060 Ti graphics card. NotRexed noted that he had only been working for 2-3 days so far.

NotRexed is clearly not afraid of Nintendo's lawyers. He published an early teaser of the "PC version" of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on social media. His post quickly went viral and no action has been taken against him yet.

According to NotRexed's estimate, porting The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom to PC will take "approximately two weeks to a month". He emphasizes that he does not want to "release a f****** port".
