In The Blood of Dawnwalker, time is not just a limiter.
In The Blood of Dawnwalker, the main character will have 30 in-game days to save his family. The developers recently talked again about "time" and the mechanics associated with it.
The passage of days is not counted by a timer; certain decisions will affect the reduction of the time reserve.
Game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz said that they view time as a resource. He emphasizes that players will always know when they are using it:
«Sometimes we give you the option to give a bribe so as not to waste time.
You will always know when you are using [time] and will be in complete control of it.
However, sometimes we play with this resource to evoke emotions at a certain moment, especially when there is little time left to complete tasks.»
If the protagonist of The Blood of Dawnwalker fails to save his family, it does not mean the end of the game, but there will be "consequences" (they have not yet been revealed).
