While waiting for the next installment in the franchise, fans are trying to find information from a variety of sources.
Recently, a user with the nickname mourad_ocane investigated the files of a major leak of GTA 5 and Rage Engine source code from 2022. He was attracted by a list of crimes that contain mentions such as "speeding" and "running a red light." He suggested that such crimes may appear in Grand Theft Auto 6.
The publication drew the attention of Tez2, a GTA and RDR insider-data miner known in the community. He refuted mourad_ocane's version and stated that unused strings are transferred from part to part, and also added:
«R* changed the format of the crime system in RDR2, on which [the system from GTA 6] will be based, so the listed crimes may not be transferred in their original form».
In Red Dead Redemption 2, NPCs could see the hero commit a crime and report it to law enforcement. However, players were given several ways to deal with those who saw too much.
