The fifth and final season of "Stranger Things" will be released on Netflix in November 2025.
The final season of "Stranger Things" is just around the corner, and against this backdrop, rumors about the length of the new episodes of "Stranger Things" are multiplying again. In an interview with Variety, one of the show's creators, Matt Duffer, stated that all the rumors about the length of the fifth season's episodes that have appeared online are not true.
Previously, unconfirmed information was actively circulating online, according to which each episode would last at least two hours, and the finale up to three. The Duffers already refuted these guesses in the summer: then Ross Duffer commented on the rumors about the "leaked" timing briefly — "Lol, not even close."
However, according to Matt Duffer, some episodes will indeed be "like movies" — in particular, the fourth and eighth.
The fifth season will be the last and, according to the authors, the most ambitious. According to the official synopsis, the heroes, shocked by the discovery of the Rifts, unite to find and destroy Vecna. However, the antagonist has disappeared, and no one knows where he is hiding and what he is plotting. Meanwhile, the authorities are again beginning to pursue Eleven, forcing her to hide.
Actress Millie Bobby Brown noted in an interview that the season will be more like an adventure action movie, where all the characters will be immersed in the events headlong.
The premiere of the fifth season will take place on November 26, 2025 on Netflix.
