Microsoft will release The Outer Worlds 2 by the end of October. An extended gameplay video has appeared online, allowing you to assess what to expect from the new installment.
The first The Outer Worlds was warmly received — the game was praised for its sharp dialogues, retrofuturistic atmosphere, and Obsidian's signature humor. Although the project did not become a box office hit, it gained loyal fans who waited several years for a sequel. The developers decided to develop the idea of the original and make the sequel more ambitious.
According to critics, The Outer Worlds 2 offers a noticeably more elaborate experience. Obsidian focused on improving old systems, deepening interactions with companions, and expanding world exploration. Now the studio has a larger budget and time, and the game is being created with an emphasis on modern consoles and high-performance PCs.
Game Informer's editorial team gained access to an exclusive demo and published a gameplay fragment from Paradise Island, one of the first locations of the project. The island will be the first large open region after the prologue, where players will be able to test the updated combat system, exploration, and new ways to interact with the environment.
