Although the devices are already on the market, Microsoft emphasizes that the gadgets—ROG Xbox Ally X and ROG Xbox Ally—need improvements, so the company has announced a series of updates and new features for the coming months.
Microsoft, together with ASUS, AMD, and the Windows team, is developing portable gaming, taking into account player feedback and collaboration at various levels. This means continuous improvement in performance, battery life, compatibility, and the addition of new features for Xbox Ally devices.
Soon, users will be able to test Default Game Profiles, a feature that automatically balances performance and power consumption for smooth gameplay and long battery life. New features are planned for early 2026: improvements to docking stations, AI options (Automatic Super Resolution, automatic recordings of the best moments) for ROG Xbox Ally X.
Some innovations will also be available on all Windows devices. Currently, users can use improved controller navigation, Gaming Copilot (Beta), and a built-in game library in the Xbox app. Advanced Shader Delivery (ASD) will soon be available to optimize game performance on all Windows platforms.
