"Modern players are often busy and want stories to be completed faster, as they have many things to do and games to play."
Game director Naoki Hamaguchi stated that the third part of the Final Fantasy 7 remake will be more "concise" in terms of narrative, considering player feedback on the second part — Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. In a new interview, he noted that some players found the story episodes of Rebirth too lengthy, although Hamaguchi himself disagrees.
Modern players are often busy and want stories to be completed faster, as they have many things to do and games to play.
Nevertheless, the development team is striving to find a balance in the narrative for the final part, so that the game feels more compact while maintaining the quality of the story.
Previously, Hamaguchi also hinted that the third part of the trilogy will offer a new gaming experience, different from Rebirth.
We are working on something new and fresh for Final Fantasy 7. This will be revealed in the near future, and we already have a working build with a new gameplay style.
