All because of a problem with the shooter's launcher.
Players are massively complaining about the blocking of their accounts in Escape From Tarkov after refunding the Steam version of the extraction shooter.
Commentators believe that this is a problem with the Escape From Tarkov launcher: the game is linked to the account, which means that trying to return to the shooter even through the version purchased on the official EFT website is regarded as a violation of the user agreement.
Moreover, some write that the ban, presumably, occurs by IP address, because of which even creating a new account will not help to bypass the blocking.
One of those who fell under the blockades was the owner of the Unheard edition worth $250. The gamer says that he bought EFT back in 2019, and then, when the Steam version was released, he also purchased the shooter in the Valve store. However, when he realized that he did not need to buy another copy of EFT, he returned it — and soon received a ban. In his publication, he asks Battlestate to unblock his account, but commentators note that he is unlikely to be able to reach support and jokingly advise to just buy another Unheard edition.
