The heroines of NieR: Automata continue their journey through various franchises.
Characters from NieR: Automata regularly appear in a variety of projects — among the latest were games from the Final Fantasy series, The First Descendant, Stellar Blade, Soulcalibur, Rainbow Six Siege, Guilty Gear, and many others. Now it's the turn of the cross-platform Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis, available on PC, iOS, and Android.
The crossover, titled YoRHa No.2 Type B Intercept: Encounter in the City Ruins, started on November 28, 2025, and will last until January 8, 2026.
The event is divided into two parts. In the first part, players will have to fight 2B as a boss: by completing tasks, you can unlock the Whirling Ravager ability — an impressive combat technique of 2B with acrobatic elements.
The second part is dedicated to cosmetics. As part of the collaboration, NieR: Automata-style outfits are available for Yuffie and Tifa — with signature black suits and eye bandages. Themed weapon skins have also been added.
Like all of Ever Crisis, the event is tied to gacha: some cosmetics are obtained through "prayers." However, during the event, players will be given 10 free attempts per day (340 in total), a bonus of 3000 blue crystals, as well as one free attempt to get a weapon skin per day.
Collaborations with NieR Replicant and NieR Re[in]carnation are expected in the future — Square Enix teased them at a celebratory broadcast dedicated to the game's second anniversary back in September. No details followed then, except for one hint: Aerith will get a Kaine outfit.
