Ninja Kiwi continues to experiment with Bloons TD 6.
Ninja Kiwi has released update 52.0 for Bloons TD 6, simultaneously introducing the massive Frontier Legends expansion.
According to the developers, Frontier Legends is a "game within a game." Players will take on the role of the sheriff of Sandytown in a full-fledged story campaign with dozens of maps, a character customization system, mini-games, and monkeys with unique "RPG-style" traits.
The expansion introduces six new types of bloons: Dynamite, Glass, Diamond, Aura, Retribution, and Leader. Each of them has special effects — from reflecting damage to strengthening allied waves. The campaign culminates in a battle with the new boss Diamondback, inspired by Bloons Super Monkey 2.
Along with the DLC, a new paragon, Herald of Everfrost, an expert map, Tricky Tracks, and the Frontier Legends Trial quest chain — an introductory mission before the DLC launch — have been added to the main game.
The update also includes balance adjustments, bug fixes, and interface improvements. In 2026, Ninja Kiwi plans to expand the game with a curse system, new bosses, mini-games, a mod editor, a cooperative hub, and other features.
The update is already available on PC and mobile devices. The Frontier Legends DLC is sold separately for $12.99.
