Absentee Indie Hit Goblin Sushi Gears Up for Early Access on PC and Smartphones - Developers Announce Release Date
The game's demo received 99% positive reviews on Steam, and now the Old Cake Factory team is preparing to launch early access and a mobile version.
Studio Old Cake Factory has announced the release date for the restaurant simulator with roguelike elements, Goblin Sushi. Players will have to manage a sushi bar for goblins, prepare dishes from dubious ingredients, and try not to go bankrupt. The project will launch in early access on February 9, 2026, and will be released simultaneously on Steam, as well as on Android and iOS.
The demo version, which will remain available until January 26, has already become a minor hit: it has 99% positive reviews on Steam. Players call Goblin Sushi "addictive", "cute and disgusting at the same time" and compare it to Good Pizza, Great Pizza — but with goblins and roguelike elements. Many note that the project already feels like an almost finished product and see it as a future hit on the indie scene.
The early access version will significantly expand the content compared to the demo. The developers promise new characters, including a demon goblin, cursed improvements, an upgrade store, a meta-progression system, and even a new boss.
We want to sincerely thank everyone who played the demo, shared feedback, posted personal records in our Discord, and helped shape Goblin Sushi to this day. Early access is the next step, and we are very excited to continue developing the game with you.
