15 Million Players Await a Sea of Thieves Competitor - First Sea of Remnants Gameplay Shown

Sea of Remnants has a chance to displace Sea of Thieves in the genre of humorous online pirate games. The first gameplay tests of the Chinese project have now started, giving a clearer idea of its quality.
Below is a new trailer for Sea of Remnants, as well as a gameplay fragment from the current tests. Currently, participation in them is limited: access was granted only to users who pre-registered in the NetEase Games system.
The key difference between Sea of Remnants and Sea of Thieves is the turn-based combat mode. At the same time, the game focuses on cooperative online gameplay, sea travel, and exploration of a large world. According to the NetEase website, more than 15 million players awaiting release have registered in the system. Sea of Remnants will be released on PS5 and PC in 2026 and will be distributed under a free-to-play model.
