A closed beta test is currently underway for the new cross-platform anime-style action RPG Neverness to Everness, which has already been dubbed "anime-GTA" — and for good reason. Videos have appeared online demonstrating a full-fledged system of crime and punishment.
Attacking passers-by, stealing vehicles, damaging property, and driving dangerously in the city increase the wanted level. With the appearance of "stars," the police begin the chase, and at high levels, more serious forces join in to capture the player.
If detained, the character is sent to prison. There, he changes into a prison robe and can spend several in-game days behind bars. In a video posted on the Steparu channel, the hero washes dirt off the walls in the spirit of PowerWash Simulator and visits the dining room.
If desired, you can steal a spoon and try to dig a tunnel, making sure not to get caught by the guards. In addition, mini-games, trading with other prisoners, and visits to the doctor are available in prison. For those who do not want to spend time in prison, an option for early release on bail is available.
The closed beta test of Neverness to Everness will last until February 20. The game is expected to be released in May 2026 — this is indicated by the date on the page in the App Store, where, as in Google Play, pre-registration is already open. The project will be released on PC and PlayStation 5.
