It is assumed that this is somehow related to investments in Epic Games, where Disney invested $1.5 billion.
Three months after the first wave of delistings, which affected 14 projects, Disney has removed another 15 titles from sale on Steam.
Among those removed were games based on popular films, as well as classic projects: Disney High School Musical 3: Senior Year Dance, Disney•Pixar Brave: The Video Game, Disney Bolt, Disney's Treasure Planet: Battle of Procyon, Disney Alice in Wonderland, Disney's Chicken Little, Disney Tangled, Disney G-Force, Disney Universe, Disney Princess: My Fairytale Adventure, Disney Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, as well as projects from the Star Wars franchise — Star Wars: Rebellion and Star Wars: Dark Forces. In addition, the classics Outlaws + A Handful of Missions (1997) and, unexpectedly, Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier disappeared from the store.
The reasons for the delisting have not been officially disclosed, but the most likely version remains licensing issues. Disney representatives have not yet commented on the situation.
Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier deserves special attention. Unlike the other games, it is not directly listed as a Disney product in the store, but belongs to the 20th Century Games publishing division, which is part of Disney after the purchase of 20th Century Fox.
