Hugh Jackman dodged a question about participating in "Avengers: Doomsday" - now fans are sure Wolverine will return
Marvel has not yet confirmed Hugh Jackman's involvement in "Avengers: Doomsday," but the actor himself is clearly in no hurry to dispel the rumors.
Marvel continues to keep part of the cast of "Avengers: Doomsday" a secret, but Hugh Jackman himself seems to have inadvertently fueled rumors about Wolverine's return.
In a new interview, the actor was directly asked if fans should expect his appearance in the film. Instead of a clear answer, Jackman played coy and, with a smile, stated that "he doesn't understand what 'Doomsday' they are talking about" — the original title of the film is Avengers: Doomsday.
This reaction made Marvel fans believe even more strongly that Wolverine will appear in the film. Social media immediately recalled Andrew Garfield's story before the premiere of "Spider-Man: No Way Home." At that time, the actor denied his participation in the project for months, and in the end, he turned out to be one of the film's surprises.
Now fans are sure that Marvel is using the same scheme again and consider Jackman's participation an "open secret," as insiders have been talking about it for many months.
"Avengers: Doomsday" will be released on December 18, 2026.
