Xbox May Introduce Installment Payment System for Purchases
The offer will be available to PayPal and Klarna account holders.
Signs of a new payment option have been discovered on the official Xbox website, which will allow users to purchase goods and services under a "buy now, pay later" scheme. While Microsoft has not yet made official statements on this matter, relevant changes have already appeared in the internal structure of the website.
According to the information found, installment payments will be available to PayPal and Klarna account holders. It is assumed that players will be offered several payment distribution options, making large purchases more accessible.
For PayPal users, a scheme with four interest-free payments every two weeks may be available. The possibility of arranging longer installments for up to 24 months is also being considered. In the case of Klarna, the purchase can be divided into three payments: the first is made immediately upon placing the order, and the subsequent two — with a 30-day interval.
The appearance of such a function aligns with Microsoft's course to find new approaches to developing its gaming business. Earlier, company representatives stated their intention to experiment with "radically new business models" in 2026. Although the discovered feature has not yet been officially announced, its appearance could be part of these changes.
