Marvel and Sony recently unveiled the synopsis for the film "Spider-Man: Brand New Day." It reveals some details about the upcoming movie:
It's a brand new day for Peter Parker. He's fighting crime on a regular basis as Spider-Man in a world that doesn't remember him – and the pressure of his old friends moving on without him – it triggers changes in Peter that he may not be able to control. But this transformation may be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves – a powerful villain no one can see. The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn't forgotten them.
The published synopsis does not specify who this villain "no one can see" is. The mentioned "changes" apparently refer to the "Neogenic Nightmare" arc – when Peter transformed into a monstrous arachnid creature, losing his human mind.
Marvel and Sony also confirmed that the final script was written by Erik Sommers and Chris McKenna.
