Painkiller creators' shooter translated into Russian - a major update released for Witchfire
Developers continue preparations for the release of the full version 1.0.
The Astronauts studio announced the release of a major update, Revelations, for the shooter Witchfire. Along with this update, not only new content was added, but also language support was expanded, including official Russian localization (text).
Players are invited to explore a new region – an "enormous level: the ruins of a sunken cathedral, surrounded by a swampy area, cut through by a forest, where new dangers, enemies, and secrets hide."
Additional weapon models, abilities, and a dungeon "with dangers and rewards" will also be available.
The developers said that players will be able to interact with NPCs using a dialogue system. The Astronauts noted that they love "old-school" RPGs and took the time to develop this system:
[…] we believe we have created a user-friendly, comprehensive, and easy-to-read solution that pays homage to our beloved games such as Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, Disco Elysium, and Planescape: Torment.
A full description of the Revelations update for Witchfire is available at the following link. Previously, the developers stated that this update would be the "last major content patch" before they focus on the final release (the game is currently in early access – version 0.9).
