Russo Brothers Working on Seventh Avengers Film - Insider
Talks about "Secret Wars" potentially being split into two films have resurfaced with renewed vigor.
Reputable insider Alex Perez from The Cosmic Circus claims that brothers Anthony and Joe Russo are working on another Avengers film. However, the insider cannot yet say what project it is. According to him, the information received could mean either splitting "Avengers: Secret Wars" into two parts or developing the next film in the series after the current saga concludes.
"Based on their statements, there's a possibility that this will be a two-part 'Secret Wars'. However, it could also be the next 'Avengers' installment."
The version with "Secret Wars" being split seems the most plausible. In early June, the Russo brothers themselves stated that they view "Avengers: Doctor Doom" and "Avengers: Secret Wars" as a single, complete story and are not making long-term plans for further work with Marvel after these films.
Furthermore, rumors about a review of production contracts for "Avengers: Secret Wars" surfaced in February. At the time, insiders speculated that the changes might be related to the film potentially being split into two parts, but Marvel Studios never confirmed this information.
"Avengers: Doctor Doom" is scheduled to premiere on December 18, 2026, and "Avengers: Secret Wars" is expected to be released in December 2027.
