Space Pirates, Vampires, and Zoidberg's Ex: "Futurama" Season 14 Has Premiered
The first two episodes of the Planet Express crew's new adventures are now available for viewing.
The 14th season of the animated comedy "Futurama" has premiered on the streaming service Hulu. In the new episodes, the Planet Express crew will encounter overconfident space pirates, vampires, and other oddities of the future:
"Get ready: the future is about to get even weirder! You're in for a relentless onslaught of overconfident space pirates, lab-grown meat, and sexy scams... plus the shocking return of Dr. Zoidberg's lost love! You didn't expect this – at least, not until we just told you about it."
The continuation will also apparently feature a crossover with another Matt Groening animated series – "Disenchantment". One of the upcoming episodes is titled A New New York Yankee in King Elfo’s Court, which refers to King Elfo.
John DiMaggio, Billy West, Katey Sagal, Tress MacNeille, Maurice LaMarche, Lauren Tom, Phil LaMarr, and David Herman have returned to their roles.
Season 14 will consist of ten episodes. The first two episodes are already available for viewing, and the rest will be released one by one every Monday.
In addition, Hulu has launched production of three special extended-length "Futurama" episodes. The first of these will be dedicated to Christmas and will be released in 2027. The release dates for the other two episodes have not yet been announced.
