Sony suddenly removes all indie developer's games from PlayStation Store - he recently criticized the company for abandoning physical discs

News

A few years ago, indie developer Ternox Games introduced the project STONKS-9800: Stock Market Simulator in "early access" format on Steam. It offers players the role of a businessman on the Japanese stock exchange in the 80s and 90s.

Ternox Games planned to release the game on the PlayStation console, but recently announced that the agreement with them was terminated — and Sony did not explain anything to him:

STONKS-9800 will not be released on PS5. Sony PlayStation unilaterally terminated my "developer and publisher agreement" for PlayStation without giving any reasons. My existing games are planned to be removed from the PlayStation Store after August 23.

In early July, when Sony announced the abandonment of physical PlayStation game discs, Ternox Games published a post with a screenshot of the heroine from STONKS-9800: Stock Market Simulator, who says:

Games without physical media? Boss, come to your senses. It's 1988. Japan is at the top of the world. Now hurry up. New Famicom cartridges won't buy themselves.

Ternox Games has not yet been able to find out the reason for the termination of the agreement. It's hard to imagine that Sony "took offense" at the criticism of a little-known developer (his account has just over 5 thousand subscribers), since more famous people also expressed their dissatisfaction, but nothing similar happened to them.

There should also have been no questions about the quality of STONKS-9800: Stock Market Simulator — the game has "overwhelmingly positive" reviews on Steam. His other games — Legend of Himari, Nexoria: Dungeon Rogue Heroes, PockeDate! - Pocket Dating Simulator, were also praised.
