Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 creators respond to mass ridicule and criticism
After a long wait, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is ready to hit the market, but the decision to block some content via paid DLC has drawn sharp criticism from players. The developers decided to respond.
The process of creating Bloodlines 2 has been long and problematic. The game has faced delays, changes in development teams, and postponed release dates. This forced fans to closely monitor each announcement. At first, the project looked lost, and new messages only reinforced doubts about the quality and final version of the game.
After the change of studio, work on the project continued, and the game is ready for release on October 21, 2025 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Recently, the decision to block two game clans — Toreador and Lasombra — in the Shadows and Silk paid DLC, costing $21.99, has been criticized. Players noted that clans are an important element of gameplay, affecting character abilities and access to unique storylines.
Paradox Interactive responded quickly: the company is considering including the clans in the base version of the game without purchasing the DLC and promised to reveal details "as soon as possible."
Community Manager DebbieElla in the official Discord clarified that the changes will be made before release, and invited players to a Twitch game show, which will be held on August 28.
