The Chinese have many complaints against Gaijin Entertainment.
The author of the YouTube channel "ЧСВ" drew attention to a new surge of negative reviews about War Thunder on Steam. Most of the negativity comes from Chinese players.
The reason for the discontent was the announcement of a new tank for War Thunder from the "Battle Elephants" update. "Thai tanks" were prepared for Japan: in addition to modernized American models, they also planned to add the Chinese VT4 to the Japanese. This greatly offended the feelings of game fans from China.
Many remember the Sino-Japanese War (1937-1945) and there is still an extremely negative attitude towards the Japanese. This incident was superimposed on the September celebration in China of the 80th anniversary of the victory in World War II, and War Thunder players had previously complained about "discrimination" against Chinese equipment.
All this led to a flood of negative reviews and, as a result, the latest reviews of War Thunder on Steam are now "mixed".
