Ubisoft has published a clarification for the Siege X community, acknowledging player frustration due to limited communication and gameplay issues. The studio has promised to increase transparency and address key community issues, focusing on anti-cheat systems, balancing, and significant changes to ranked matchmaking.
The developers acknowledged that the transition to Free Access has led to an increase in cheating, exceeding the capabilities of current detection systems. Ubisoft stated that while progress has been made, additional resources have been allocated to strengthen anti-cheat operations. Without technical details, the team confirmed that it is targeting major cheat distributors and plans to permanently ban users exploiting known vulnerabilities.
Ubisoft plans to adjust the balance based on player feedback. In patch 3.3 from October 14:
- the previous Denari nerf will be reverted;
- the character's Glaive-12 weapon will be buffed;
- Solis will get impact grenades back;
- several operators, including Thermite, Hibana, and Maverick, will receive buffs.
A Testing Grounds will also appear — a new area for early testing of game features. The first will be a reworked Armor and Speed system for operators, reflecting efforts to improve mechanics.
Ubisoft acknowledged that Ranked 2.0 did not meet expectations. In Season 4, matchmaking improvements will begin, taking into account rank and team size.
Ubisoft concluded the message by reaffirming its commitment to community-driven development and calling for feedback.
