NetEase Games has announced the first PvE mode for Marvel Rivals called "Zombie Mode". It will be released on October 23, 2025.
Executive Producer at Marvel Games, Danny Koo, said that the mode is inspired by the Marvel Zombies comics:
«Players will be able to take on the roles of Thor, Blade, Magik, Jeff, and Punisher and fight endless waves of zombies. You will have to survive among hordes of the undead, fight Zombie Namor and the Queen of the Dead, and try to save the world from complete infection.»
According to Koo, each hero has been given special abilities. For example, Jeff can break through hordes of enemies, Blade uses bouncing moon blades, Thor strikes opponents with lightning, and Magik goes insane, turning into Darkchylde. The developers promise "intense battles with bosses and crowds of zombies."
Marvel Rivals is available on PS5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, and PC in Steam and Epic Games Store.
