Sony continues to improve the PS5 system.
In October, Sony introduced firmware update 12.20.00 for PlayStation 5 consoles. It includes a number of technical improvements.
Some changes:
- Updated the wireless DualSense Edge controller software to improve operational stability.
- Improved the performance and stability of the system software.
Also noted:
You can now use your console to check the serial number of your console and wireless DualSense controllers that are currently connected via USB or Bluetooth.

For the console:
- Settings > System > System Software > Console Information

For gamepads:
- Settings > Accessories > General > Advanced Settings > View Serial Number
