The Call of Duty: Black Ops series is gearing up for a new chapter. Activision, Treyarch, and Raven Software have released a trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 "The Story So Far," which will take players through the history of the entire series and prepare them for the events of the new episode.
The purpose of the video is to connect the older generations of Black Ops with the new storyline, which will conclude with the official release of the game on November 14, 2025.
The trailer revisits key moments in the franchise: Alex Mason, Jason Hudson, Frank Woods, and the events that shaped the typical psychological and conspiratorial tone of the series. In addition to the retrospective, the video hints at the return of Raul Menendez, the main antagonist of Black Ops II, who will be the central figure in the new campaign. The developers promise a deep connection between the past and the present against the backdrop of a tense political-military plot.
The technical aspect has also been developed. Treyarch and Raven Software have confirmed improvements in equipment management, new animations thanks to Omnimovement technology, and smoother and more realistic shooting. All these elements will be integrated into both the campaign, multiplayer, and the "Zombies" mode, available from day one of release.
