The PlayStation 5 in the US turned out to be cheaper than 64 GB of DDR5 — amid rising prices for PC memory.
The surge in cost is due to an increase in the number of AI data processing centers, which has increased demand for DDR5 modules, the supply chain is unstable, and the modules themselves have noticeably increased in price. As a result, the PS5 now costs less than a 64 GB DDR5 RAM kit.
According to Amazon, the Sony console looks significantly more attractive than any DDR5 option. A similar situation is observed in the Best Buy network.
