Playing Dota 2 at a professional level is also a serious job.

Prosports drew attention to an interview with a Russian esports player. Ilya Kiritych Ulyanov answered the interviewer's question, "Do you think being an esports player is harder than working in a factory?"

According to the pro player, working in a factory is easier - Ilya explained his vision:

I think so, yes. Of course, sitting at a machine in a factory for 8–10 hours is a motor, hard work, from which you get physically exhausted first of all. Of course, after a month or two, you also get mentally exhausted - no doubt. But, conditionally, in Dota, to be the best, you need to devote 12–14 hours to Dota. And you have a lot of mental stress in your head. It's hard to cope with, especially when there is pressure from the community, some unsuccessful games, something unsuccessful. It all accumulates, and it's hard at the moment - not everyone can handle it.

The esports player noted that not all players are able to withstand a high level of stress, and also clarified his attitude to the work of ordinary workers:

Many quit their careers because they simply can't take the hit. I don't devalue the work of ordinary workers in any way. I know from my parents and in general that this is motor and still difficult work, but I think that Dota is more difficult in psychological terms, mentally.
