The "roguelike" that combines the ideas of Buckshot Roulette and a slot machine will soon be available on iOS and Android.
Publisher Future Friends Games has announced the upcoming mobile release of CloverPit, a slot machine roguelike created by Panik Arcade.
CloverPit places the player in a confined space — a rusty chamber where the only "company" is a slot machine and an ATM. At the end of each round, you must pay off your debt, otherwise the character will literally fall into the underworld. This establishment is run by the Devil, who explains the rules and encourages you to continue playing, gradually increasing the stakes and pressure.
Despite the visual and thematic associations with gambling, the developers emphasize that CloverPit is not a slot machine simulator and does not use real money. The system is built around the ability to break the rules and manipulate the mechanisms and build combo chains, activating more than 150 talismans, as well as literally breaking the slot machine to survive.
As you progress, new talismans, modifications, and special events are unlocked. Some increase the chance of getting the right symbols, others allow you to survive fatal mistakes or get additional resources. At the same time, the system deliberately remains cruel: randomness can either reward or ruin the run, and the "Number of the Beast" can deprive the player of all their loot.
The mobile version of CloverPit will be completely identical to the PC version and will be available on December 17 on iOS and Android. The project will be released as a premium game for $4.99.
