TheGamer doesn't understand how attempts to please the target audience could affect sales.
TheGamer, whose editors once fought with Stellar Blade over the appearance of the main character, has switched to the soulslike Lords of the Fallen 2. This was triggered by statements from CI Games head Marek Tyminski, where he emphasizes the studio's desire to distance itself as much as possible from the agenda and make exactly the game that fans of the original Lords of the Fallen would like to see.
The TheGamer journalist was particularly displeased by Tyminski's recent affirmative answer to a player's question about whether there would be attractive female characters in revealing clothing in Lords of the Fallen 2.
The user's question about whether there would be attractive female characters in the game was followed by a short and concise "yes," which laughably clearly shows which audience Lords of the Fallen 2 is counting on.
At the same time, the journalist himself cites a recent poll in his material that Tyminski conducted on his X social media page, where he tried to find out if sexual characters are needed in role-playing games. The vast majority of people answered "Yes."
The sequel's developers seem to believe that supporting this movement will make their game more successful. Or they really believe the nonsense they're spouting.
By "this movement", TheGamer means a "small but noisy" group of people who want to see attractive female characters in games.
