Capcom shares financial results.
Devil May Cry 5 has become Capcom's sales leader in the current fiscal year, despite being almost six years since its release. In the nine-month period from April to December 2025, the action game surpassed even flagship franchises such as Resident Evil and Monster Hunter.
According to Capcom's third fiscal quarter report, Devil May Cry 5, along with the Special Edition, sold 2.43 million copies during the specified period. Total game sales reached 11 million copies. This allowed it to outperform other successful releases from the company: Resident Evil 4 Remake (2.34 million copies) and Resident Evil Village (2.28 million copies) during the same period.
Capcom's total net sales for the nine months amounted to 115.3 billion yen, a 30% increase compared to the same period last year. Operating profit increased by 75% to 54.3 billion yen, and the operating margin reached 47.1%. The Digital Contents division generated 73.4 billion yen in revenue and 46.0 billion yen in profit, showing growth of 25% and 58% respectively.
Cumulative sales of all Capcom games reached 34.64 million copies (+13.5% year-on-year). At the same time, games from Capcom's back catalog accounted for 33.39 million sales, or 96.4% of the total volume - this is the best nine-month result in the company's history. New releases contributed only 1.25 million copies (3.6%), which is 34% less than the previous year.
