Xbox on Fire: Top Managers Leave the Company Following Phil Spencer

March has become a time of radical change for Microsoft: after the news of Phil Spencer's retirement and Sarah Bond's dismissal, two more top managers have left the company.

Lori Wright, Vice President of Partnership and Marketing, and Haiyan Zhang, Xbox General Manager for Game AI, have left their posts.

Wright worked for the company for ten years. She spoke vaguely about her future plans, noting that she wants to "enjoy beautiful sunsets and sunrises, discovering what lies between them." Insider Tom Warren emphasized that Wright reported directly to Sarah Bond, which makes one wonder about the connection between their departures.

Zhang, another industry veteran, confirmed her move to Netflix to "strengthen their gaming direction." To ironic comments online about "rats fleeing the ship," she replied: "Sometimes it's just about ME and no one else," adding: "It's just a new job, dude. People do that."

Against the backdrop of these changes, the new head of Microsoft Gaming, Asha Sharma, is already making adjustments: the "And it's also Xbox" marketing campaign has been quietly shut down. At the same time, the company officially presented the next-generation Project Helix console.
