The Return of "Only on PlayStation." Sony Removes Mentions of PC

A few weeks ago, journalist Jason Schreier reported that PlayStation might change its publishing strategy. According to his data, the company planned to limit the release of games on PC, once again focusing the release of major single-player projects exclusively on PS5 consoles and future generations.

Sony and PlayStation have not officially confirmed the course, but fans have noticed that changes in the descriptions of PlayStation Studios on the official website seem non-random. Where it used to talk about creating games, including for PC, the emphasis has now shifted almost entirely to the experience for PlayStation players.

Many believe this is a signal of a major turnaround: the slogan "Only on PlayStation" is returning, and the key projects of the studios are once again working on the value of Sony consoles.

Updated description of Sony PlayStation XDev:

Was: "Collaboration with ambitious external studios from around the world".

Became: "Collaborating with talented independent studios to deliver exciting, exclusive titles for PlayStation players around the world".

Updated description of Valkyrie Entertainment:

Was: "An acclaimed studio known for creating high-quality projects on various platforms, from consoles to PC".

Became: "Partners with PlayStation Studios, bringing first-class co-development experience to some of the most iconic and award-winning franchises, including ASTRO BOT, Helldivers 2, and God of War".
